Do you want to shop before the public? Do you want to shop before the consignors? This is the way to do it! Team Member Volunteers are anyone who signs up to work a minimum of (1) 4 hour shift. Volunteers help straighten inventory, help customers find what they need, help the cashiers at check out, and various sales activities. The shifts are with other volunteers and while they can be hectic depending on the volume of shoppers, it is always a lot of fun! If you volunteer and are also a consignor, there are additional benefits for working more than 1 shift…. You earn a larger percent of your sales. If you have any questions about volunteering, please email or call. Deidra is happy to discuss any time.

Team Member Guidelines
IF YOU CANCEL YOUR SHIFT WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF THE SALE, YOU MUST NOTIFY Just 4 Kidz, LLC VIA E-MAIL OR PHONE CALL IMMEDIATELY. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SUSPEND YOUR VOLUNTEER STATUS FOR FUTURE SALES IF YOU CANCEL YOUR SHIFT WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF THE SALE.
Please do not bring children to your Team Member Volunteer shift.
If your shift is during a sale, try to get there a few minutes early so that we can review your responsibilities with you.
Be sure to bring any snack or drink with you that you might need while you are working. We will provide bottled water, sodas and some snacks.
If your shift is during our drop-off hours, you must check-in and place your items during a time other than your volunteer shift.
You may drop-off directly before or immediately after your shift is complete.
If your shift is during the private sale, you must be finished shopping and begin working at 6pm. You will pay for items at the end of your shift.
Do not stand in the check-out line!
Absolutely no making stashes during your shift if your shift is during drop-off hours.

Type of Work You May Be Asked To Do:

During Sale: Cut tags as customers check-out, make sure clothes are hung on racks in correct sizes, re-hang clothing that comes off hangers, and straighten appearance of displays.
Drop-Off: Hang clothes in correct sizes, place items in appropriate location, ensure clothes are free of stains, holes, and missing buttons.
End-of-Sale: Sort unsold clothes and items by sort code.
Team Member Volunteer Agreement:
Please understand that these guidelines have been created in an effort to maintain a high-quality sale.
In an effort to ensure the quality of the sale by retaining a sufficient number of Team Member Volunteers, J4K requires that Team Member Volunteers fulfill their pledged obligation to work their assigned 4-hour shift. In the event a worker does not fulfill their obligation or find a suitable replacement on their behalf, the worker will not be allowed to participate as a Team Member Volunteer for 2 seasons.
If you are pregnant and have been placed on any kind of restricted activity by your doctor, please do not sign up for a shift.
The deadline for cancelling a scheduled work shift is the Friday before drop-off begins. Any cancellations made after that day will be subject to the penalties stated in this agreement. Some extenuating circumstances will be considered (such as a death in the family). In such situations you will be allowed to be a Team Member.
Volunteer again without penalty.
Workers should not bring children under the age of twelve with them to work. Rare exceptions have been made for nursing infants during certain shifts, but the appeal must be made and approved by the J4K Staff BEFORE signing up to work.
Workers must be on time and fulfill their entire shift in order to reap the benefits and escape the consequences of the Team Member Volunteer Agreement.
Team Member Volunteers understand that one four-hour shift earns one private sale pass. If you would like to bring your husband to the private sale, you will need to work 2 shifts or your husband will need to work a four-hour shift. No children will be admitted to the private sale except nursing babies that are in a sling.
In order to receive a higher percentage back for consigned items, all shifts must be worked by either the consignor or their spouse. Consignors will not receive a higher percentage for shifts worked by parents or other family members.
Two 4-hour shifts earns 65% back, three 4-hour shifts earns 70% back and four 4-hour shifts earns 75% back. Seventy- five percent is the highest possible percentage back on consigned items.
